At first you’d think that we were swimming in the ocean, but this is actually the “cliff” Patrick was mentioning. This is a natural procedurally generated cliff that came with the world. For an inexperienced and unequipped player, this is the craziest thing in the world to scale. Definitely #1 on the hard challenge scale, and ocean loot is beginner-grade stuff as well! Preposterous >:( this cliff has managed to anger me.
Personally, I really like these natural shallow tunnels, and they’re pretty rare but awesome to find and awesome to build on, especially with the natural wall inside the cave. So here, have a screenshot in admiration of it’s existence :)
Please stand by while we destroy the goblin army in a few minutes… Okay done :D
Also if you’ll notice, the map now has crazy light lines all across it due to the magic spells of the goblin sorcerers. I guess this battleground will always be remembered *sheds tear*
Patrick told me of a massive cliff that he had found to the right of the world with the pyramid, so I went off in search of it and ended up going the wrong way at first since I presumed he had gone off exploring to the left :| derp.
Anyway, with seconds to spare before a goblin army would bite my ass, I found a… cliff? This is more like a cave but its a crazy gap nevertheless. Imagine trying to scale this without jumping gear. It’d definitely rank highly among Terraria’s most challenging tasks ;)
Uhh I’m not sure if this is meant to happen, but our pyramid just led us right into a cave and didn’t have a proper ending… So that means no more pyramid loot :(
On the other hand, we managed to get the complete raincoat outfit with the hat :D it was only a matter of time… And rain ;)
We rushed down the tunnel and found this outfit — a Pharaoh’s Mask and Robe :D not my style but hey, at least we got some pyramid loot :)
Going back to Terraria, Patrick finally managed to generate a world that had a sunken pyramid in the desert. Time to explore this thing!
I’m presuming most of you have started the Starbound beta already, but if you haven’t then let me tell you, it’s seriously worth it! Here’s a screenshot of me and 3 of my friends trying our best to destroy an invading penguin army. Not working out too well :(
To save everyone from spoilers, this is the only screenshot I’m posting until the full game comes out. I hope those of you participating in the beta do enjoy it and hopefully have no problems running it :)
Annnd DONE (for now). I still need some more sunplate walls for the top and bottom floors but it’s looking good so far :D meanwhile I hear Patrick laughing to himself so I walk over and see him crafting another bone penis… Turns out he’s making a bone section for his dungeon, but we all know why he’s laughing ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Slowly but surely we came to a close on our building work for the day. Patrick had long since finished his colourful dungeon and I was lacking a ton of Sunplate walls, but we could always get that stuff another time. At least the shape has been sorted out correctly. No more penis :D I’m liking the “+” shape.
We returned to building after the rain, and found a bunch of enemies stuck in our buildings :L I guess in the future we should provide better lighting in there. Luckily I survived the horrible onslaught of an umbrella slime while Patrick tackled a soggy zombie, which actually dropped a rain coat when we killed it! We have 2 now, since Patrick apparently found one before :D
We went out for a break to experience the rain and found a couple of new enemies. They have umbrella slimes and flying fish! I expected them to be like birds or bunnies, as in docile, but turns out they just want to kill you with hits for 9 damage :(
